A Newport Wedding Ceremony at Salve Regina
The day began with their ceremony at Salve Regina University, which gave us the opportunity to capture portraits at the breathtaking Ochre Court afterward. As always, the historic architecture and coastal Newport charm created the dreamiest backdrop for wedding portraits. Between the grand stone exterior, elegant archways, and soft light surrounding the property, every moment felt straight out of a movie.
A Wedding Couple That Perfectly Balances Each Other
Melissa and Chris balance each other so well, and that dynamic was felt throughout the entire day. Melissa is truly the life of the party — energetic, joyful, and always smiling — while Chris has a quieter and more reserved personality. However, together they created such a warm and genuine energy that made photographing them incredibly easy. Throughout the day, you could see how much they simply enjoy being together, and those candid moments ended up being some of our favorites.

One of the most memorable details from the day was the vintage Rolls-Royce they rented for the wedding. Not only did it elevate the timeless feel of the celebration, but it also made for some incredibly elegant portraits around Newport. The classic car paired perfectly with the refined aesthetic of the day and added such a luxurious touch to their gallery.
Meanwhile, the decor itself was equally stunning. The soft white florals, fresh greenery, delicate bows, and elegant styling all came together beautifully inside Belle Mer’s bright coastal space. Every detail felt feminine, classic, and effortlessly romantic.
Sunset Portraits & The Ultimate Belle Mer Dance Party
As the evening continued, the celebration shifted from elegant to unforgettable. Melissa changed into a fun party dress covered in tassels, which instantly transformed the dance floor energy. The movement of the dress made for some of the most fun reception photos, especially once everyone packed the dance floor and the party truly began.
To make the evening even more magical, the sunset that night was absolutely perfect. Soft golden light filled the waterfront at Belle Mer, giving us the dreamiest ending to an already beautiful wedding day.
