We wrapped up our busiest season yet with this Roundhouse wedding in Beacon, NY and it was absolutely perfect! We’ve crossed paths with the bride, Michaila, several times as a guest and bridesmaid at various weddings over the years. I distinctly recall thinking, “who is this firecracker!” So, needless to say when she approached us about photographing her winter wedding in NY, we were thrilled! We couldn’t help but wonder who could match the energy of this dynamo, and we’re pleased to say Chris more than rose to the occasion! From the moment we met him, it was evident that these two were a match made in heaven. During the ceremony, vows, and toasts, we were treated to heartwarming stories of how they found each other – truly one of the highlights of the day for us! Another standout moment was reconnecting with four of our past couples and their friends, who have become dear friends to us as well. We feel incredibly fortunate to have these amazing people in our lives and are grateful for the warmth with which they’ve welcomed us. Michaila and Chris, we can’t thank you enough for inviting us to share in your special day! Until we meet again – and we certainly will!

Kristen and Eric had the biggest wedding ever at Belle Mer in Newport, RI. We didn’t think it was possible to have this many friends, but if you meet Kristen and Eric, you’d absolutely understand why people want to be around them. They are so much fun! If you needed proof look at the dancing photos from their reception! Enough said. After we posted some sneak peek pictures from the wedding on our social media, we got tons of messages from people saying they wish they were friends with them. Same!

Even their dog, Jackson, couldn’t stand to be away from them for a moment! He, of course, couldn’t have stolen the show from that beautiful bride, but he got a lot of laughs when he ran down the aisle after the formal processional.

Eric and Kristen planned one of the most beautiful tributes to a passed loved one we’ve ever seen at a reception. Eric lost his mother to cancer. In her memory he and his mother’s best friend danced to the song “Drops of Jupiter,” which was written by someone who lost their mom to cancer. Eric’s mother must have been an incredible person to have inspired such a beautiful moment. And after spending the day with Eric and listening to the way his friends talk about him, we know that he must have been a truly wonderful son.

We have no doubt that just like his mom, Eric and Kristen will lead a full life together that will inspire others for generations to come! Happy everything, Eric and Kristen!

We work with a lot of couples who live out of state and come to Rhode Island to get married because why wouldn’t you travel to get married in beautiful Rhode Island?! Amina and Evan are one of those couples. They live in Washington, DC, and came to Little Rhody to have a beautiful Mount Hope Farm wedding! We were so lucky to meet these two before their big day! That doesn’t always happen but at the engagement session we were able to get to know this sweet couple in a low pressure, private setting.

Evan and Amina are so in love, and you can feel the emotion between them and their families. They gave us a lot of sweet moments to catch on camera, both during their engagement session and on their wedding day. Those pictures are some of our faves to this day!

One of the most touching parts of this wedding was Amina’s 1950s dress. She was the third generation of women in her family to wear it. Both her grandmother and mother, who wore the dress before her, were in attendance at the wedding, and we can’t imagine what they felt seeing her walk down the aisle in it. Amina’s mother and two sisters helped her get into the dress before the wedding and there was a lot of hugging and smiles.

After the cocktail hour, Amina changed into another dress because let’s face it… It’s not easy to dance in a hoop skirt! Maybe for a fourth generation?? The lace bodice and open back of her second dress was perfect for the garden vibe of her reception.

Amina, Evan and their whole families are such warm and kind people, and it was a pleasure to spend the day with them. We can’t imagine anything but a beautiful future for them, full of meaningful glances, sweet smiles and lots of love.
