Most likely when you think of Maine visions of lobster, mountains, and hiking come to mind…but this was not the Maine we encountered. Oh no. The setting was the York Harbor Reading Room perched high on a cliff overlooking the Atlantic. Our bride and groom, Emily and Trevor, looked as if they were the latest Kennedy couple to wed. No kidding, Trevor kept hearing it all day! The bridal party was so much fun and we even welcomed the teasing from some punk groomsmen (just kidding, but we are getting the last word.  That means we officially win!  YES!!). Every signal bit of this wedding was quintessential New England, from the quaint white chapel, to the buoy covered shack, to the cliff walk with a breathtaking sunset. This was the first wedding of the season for The Reading Room and it will be a tough one to follow. If you don’t believe us, Google it!… Right, Trevor?

Two days after Taylor Swift dropped a cool $17 million on her home in Watch Hill, RI we found ourselves at and an even more spectacular dwelling next door, Ocean House. Perched high on the bluffs of Watch Hill, Ocean House is an iconic New England seaside resort and was the most perfect setting for Bridget and Noel’s intimate destination wedding. With guests flying in from as far away as New Zealand and London, Bridget and Noel made the decision to keep their guest list to a minimum and it could not have been more sublime. Bridget was radiant in her Monique Lhullier gown and Jimmy Choo heels (what a dream!). Noel was dashing in his tux and his British accent was the perfect accessory. Given the small guest list we had plenty of time for photos around the grounds and on the beach. Cocktails were served in the members-only club room at Ocean House, followed by a private dinner. The entire day was filled with an air of romance and love, just as it should be.

You would think that when a couple’s wedding venue is a fine art museum they wouldn’t go too crazy with their details, what with all the beauty already there. This was not the case for Dan and Kate’s wedding at the Currier Museum! Located in Manchester, NH, your quintessential New England town, these two avid antique collectors merely used the museum as a backdrop to showcase their incredible collection of glassware and thrifted collectibles accented by amazing florals by Apotheca Flowers . When we bumped into Dan in the morning he was wearing a Captain America t-shirt (he is an amazing comic book artist) and was laid back as could be. He transformed into a Clooney-esque groom while Kate worked on her vintage-glam styling complete with a facinator. We love fascinators! We were able to explore the museum with the couple and even grabbed some pictures with a gorgeous Monet, The Seine at Bougival. To be surrounded by such love and such amazing art was an experience we will always treasure. Oh and we got to wear cool VIP passes, that was awesome, too.
