Liz and Leo had a quintessential, classic Rhode Island wedding. A pretty ceremony in a small white chapel, photos by the sea, reception at The Towers in Naragansett and weather that went from sunny and 60 degrees to sideways rain and 45 degree temperatures. It never phased us. There was subtle superhero theme than ran through the wedding complete with a cake styled to resemble Superman’s cape from the Fortress of Solitude and fun superhero props for the photo booth. The groomsmen even wore themed t-shirts under their suits! Tables were decorated with blue mason jars and baby’s breath and Plantation Catering served those tables with the most beautiful and delicious food. The entire staff at Plantation treated the guests with so much attention and grace, from the first passed hors d’oeuvre to the last slice of cake, Amanda’s team was at the top of their game. Liz and Leo were so very happy on their big day, they were both smiling nonstop. That’s not to say there weren’t tears because oh there were tears! Throughout the night if you looked at the right person you’d see them wiping away tears of joy. As the waves crashed on the shore outside family and friends celebrated the union of this happy couple. It was a super day!

We knew when we met Sarah and Bryan that their wedding was going to be amazing. First off they were referred by a wonderful couple who had the good sense to hire Melissa to do their wedding years ago (Hi, Elayna and Jordan!!).  Second they brought a vintage bike and the hugest balloon ever to their engagement session! They are two super fun and quirky people, kind of like us! But nothing could have prepared us for the unbelievable styling of their October wedding at The Red Lion Inn in Cohasset, MA. First of all, Marisa wore a black and white chevron shirt which was a heavily used pattern throughout the decor. She matched the wedding! As the girls were getting ready we were given the invitation, save-the-date cards, jewelry, shoes & headpiece. Every single item was individual and thoughtfully chosen or designed. The bridesmaids each wore their own choice of coral dress & turquoise jewelry. Sarah has an amazing eye. She has never known a Pinterest Fail, trust us. Even the first look was totally original. Remember the giant balloon from the engagement shoot? Now there were so many! Sarah and Brian met along a covered bride (take that, rain!) holding a huge bunch of balloons in front of their faces. At the count of three they let the balloons go to reveal themselves! Totally Sarah’s idea, totally awesome. Right after the reveal they enjoyed a couple of pints together. After some formal photos it was time to get married! The ceremony was personal and heartwarming and funny and very them. The staff at the Red Lion Inn seamlessly flipped the room while the cocktail hour commenced on the mezzanine. Once the reception began guests were treated to a feast for the eyes! The tables were accented with crisscrossed black and white fabric runners, glittery table numbers, and little hand painted plastic animals that we probably took to many pictures of! Their wedding also had a theme of “Best Day Ever” which was proudly displayed in big wooden letters on the balcony. Black and white silent movies were projected on an exposed rock wall over by the bar where guests could find mason jars full of embellished paper straws. Everywhere we looked we saw something special made by Sarah! Even the favors were homemade. Months earlier they started the process of making limoncello. They bottled it up and made little tags and voila! Favors you can drink! From the adorable cake with a fabric bunting to the handcrafted paper pinwheels, this wedding was undeniably DIY all the way. We would like to wish Sarah and Bryan the Best Life Ever!!!

Nestled away on Goat Island in Newport, RI is the beautiful Hyatt Regency. Known for their impeccable customer service and attention to detail this venue offers more than meets the eye. Take a few steps out the back doors and you will find beautiful landscaping, adirondack chairs, a lighthouse built in 1842, and a stunning view of the Newport bridge! Caitlin and Dan could not have picked a better day to celebrate here. This classy wedding was a celebration from the get-go. With a 13 person wedding party how could it not be fun?! Everyone was styled beautifully. Bridesmaids were in pretty black, strapless dresses while the men cleaned up nicely in their classic black tuxedos. Caitlin was breathtaking in her strapless lace gown with an embellished sash and fingertip length veil. Dan could not take his eyes off of his new bride. A perfect sunset cocktail hour led to an amazing party inside after dinner. The band D2 had people dancing immediately and the dance floor was hopping all night. Here’s to you, Caitlin and Dan!
