Shelby and Tim are gorgeous, let’s get that out there right now. They compliment each other so well in looks, esthetic, personality, and sense of humor. The setting for their wedding day was absolutely magical. Glen Magna Farms gives the feel of a lovely garden party in the backyard of your very own private estate.  The wedding party had the run of the main house to finish getting ready which gave way for some beautiful photography. After a private first look Shelby and Tim read each other heartfelt vows that were for their ears only (we promise we didn’t listen). The ceremony took place under a pergola dripping with mature wisteria that was simply breathtaking. After the vows Tim was expecting to hear Happy by Pharrel as the recessional song but Shelby surprised him with Psychoticbumpschool by Bootsy Collins! He loved it! We then had some time to explore the expansive grounds with the entire wedding party for portraits and some newlywed photos. The tented reception was very intimate. The couple picked random small plates that represented some of their favorite foods including sliders with fries, Chinese take-out, a macaroni and cheese bar, and of course a French cheese station! Shelby loves any and all things French and there was a definite Parisian feel to the day. Shelby chose a gown that looked as if it was custom made for her and get this, it was the first one she tried on!  Oh and the shoes, not one, but two pair. Pink and blue respectively, Swoon! Her hair and makeup were flawless, perfectly highlighting her big baby blues and Tim looked like he stepped out of the pages of a magazine. This pretty day was a photographers dream come true and we couldn’t be happier to have been a part of it all. When planning the wedding Shelby and Tim already knew that they wouldn’t want the night to end. Some time after the M’s had left, the new Mr. and Mrs. Dwyer and a group of close friends went to Downtown Crossing in Boston where they had rented out part of jmCurley.  We hear Shelby devoured a burger but since there is no photographic evidence we’ll just have to call it wedding day gossip.

And so, to the newlyweds we say…

Félicitations. Nous vous souhaitons à tous les deux tout le bonheur du monde!

We know Halle and Ed pretty well. I mean not every couple gets TWO engagement shoots! The second session happened after they lost a total of 50 pounds; what better way to document a significant weight loss than with a photo shoot! So, by the time their gorgeous Linden Place wedding took place we felt like old friends. You simply cannot go wrong with a venue like Linden Place. Located in Bristol, Rhode Island’s historic waterfront district, this mansion has been preserved and still looks as it did in the late 1800’s. Four presidents have been entertained there! It is such a treat to visit. It was in one of these mansion bedrooms that Halle was gifted a gorgeous diamond necklace and matching earrings by her groom-to-be, delivered by a groomsmen in a handmade box crafted by Ed himself. This day was full of surprises! One of our favorite features of Linden Place is the detached ballroom. Each couple transforms this room to their own style. From shabby chic to rustic elegance, this room is always a winner. Halle inspired us with her mantle styled with lots and lots of DIY mercury glass. We have now become quite the mercury glass crafters. No glass vessel is safe around us! Complimenting the mercury glass was a huge monogram M (we discussed this getting “lost”) which had a subtle glow from behind and was made by an engineer friend of theirs. For a few moments the spotlight was taken off the gorgeous Halle with a personalized rap by her sister in lieu of a speech, she was amazing! But Halle quickly stole back everyone’s attention when Michael Jackson’s Beat It came on she reenacted his choreography move for move. As children of the 80’s who watched that video a million times on MTV, back when MTV still played videos, when we say “move for move” we mean it. She was PERFECT. And who could forget our wounded DJ?! One minute Sheldon was there, then he was gone and the paramedics were attending to him! Turns out he had injured himself changing a tire in the morning but refused to miss the wedding. As a football player he is trained to keep playing through adversity, rumor has it that after he received some stitches he told the paramedic “I’m ready to play coach, put me back in.” This went over well with Ed, a football player himself. The whole room exploded with applause and cheers when Sheldon started spinning again. Oh and did we mention that Ed’s former teammate officiated the ceremony dressed as Reverend Run from Run DMC? Yes, that happened too. It was a perfect day and night to Eat, Drink and Be Married!!

We knew that Abby and Andy’s wedding at the Red Lion Inn was going to be wonderful after the awesome engagement session we had together. We were very excited to meet them in the warm weather considering it was the middle of winter when we last met in Boston. The beaches of Cohasset, Ma were a far cry from the frozen frog pond in The Commons! As always, The Red Lion Inn was stunning and the staff was kind and attentive. Abby was breathtaking in a gorgeous gown by House of Wu and Andy was dressed to the nines in Tommy Hilfiger. These two fit together like a puzzle, both are incredibly smart, stylish and driven and it came through in the styling of the wedding. The rustic beauty of the inn complimented the pretty florals by Barry’s Flowers. Each table number was accompanied by a picture of the bride and groom at that particular age. This greatly impressed us because not only did their parents keep their photos organized throughout the years but the pictures were beautiful! We had such a gorgeous day that were were able to take advantage of every spot on the grounds of the inn, take formal photos on the beach, and get Abby and Andy to their cocktail hour in time to enjoy some sweet acoustic music and passed hors d’oeuvres. The photo booth was hoping all night and the couple even had their own hashtag for their guests Instagram photos. Here’s to #abbyandandy13!
