Alison and Steven are a busy duo!  We weren’t able to meet them in person before their wedding at The Bohlin but we felt like we knew them thanks to Instagram!  Leading up to the wedding there was a lot of commenting back and forth on stories and posts.  Keeping in touch with clients is one of our favorite parts of social media!  Shooting Alison and Steven’s wedding brought us a couple of firsts.  We had never been to the Attwater for getting ready photos!  This hotel is so amazing!  The decor gave us so many options to photograph the beautiful details Alison had!  It was also our first time shooting at The Bohlin!  We are in love with this venue!  It is right on the water by the Newport Yachting Center.  Does it get more beautiful than that?  Did I mention that there is a Sperry Tent involved?  Fun fact – This wedding caught the eye of Classic Bride and was featured on Valentine’s Day this year!  Check it out here!

We just cannot say enough wonderful things about Stephanie and Tim’s beautiful wedding in Newport. They chose Newport because of it’s classic, preppy vibe and the fact that JFK and Jackie were married there, I mean, do you need any more of a reason than THAT?! We started the day with a first look at The Elms mansion on Bellevue Ave followed by the ceremony at Dunlap-Wheeler Park right next to the Atlantic Beach Club where the cocktail hour and reception were held. With the help from Ali Lomazzo’s Beauty team, Stephanie was such a stunning bride. Her lace overlay gown was accented by her mother’s earrings (something borrowed) that she wore when her parents got married. This was very sentimental to her since her parents’ marriage has always been such a testament of true love and partnership. Peeking out from underneath her gown were the most beautiful powder blue Chanel, cap-toe flats. To die for! Once inside the ABC guests were treated to gorgeous tablescapes created by Toni Chandler. The sunset made the room all aglow in a warm light which echoed the love and warmth of our sweet couple. After a lovely sit-down dinner guests were up and dancing in no time to music spun by Unique Sounds. The cake covered in sprinkles (we call them jimmies in RI) created by Awesome Cakes was such a hit, we imagine there are many Instagram pics of it floating around, including on our own M.Studios Instagram account! The entire day was romantic, laid back, loud, energetic, and fun-the perfect combination for a couple like Stephanie and Tim and we are so happy to have been a part of it!!

Regatta Place was the last stop on our journey with Kathleen and Liam and what a stop it was! We first popped in to see the guys who were looking mighty dapper in their J.Crew suits. Liam’s suit was slightly lighter which made our handsome groom stand out as the man of the hour. Across the street, Kathleen was an absolute beauty in her strapless Allure Bridal gown and her wedding day glow was enhanced by the ever talented Aline Sarkis Beauty. Toni Chandler delivered the most delicious florals that perfectly complimented the stunning grey J.Crew styling of the bridal party. After a touching ceremony at Our Lady of Mercy on the Salve Regina campus we walked over to Ochre Court for some formal portraits. Newport is stunning but this spot really takes the cake. It’s way up there on our list of favorite places. We then followed the trolly over to Liam’s alma mater, St. George’s, where we learned he was quite the hockey star back in high school! After some formals on the stunning grounds we made our way to Regatta Place where the tent was a vision in white and silver. Tables were adorned with breathtaking floral centerpieces, lanterns, and candles in mercury glass vessels which sat atop luxurious linens provided by Rentals Unlimited. A silver and white candy bar had mouths watering along with a scrumptious looking dessert table on which the highlight was an elegant cake by Sin Bakery.  Heartfelt speeches from family and friends began the night and after a delicious sit down dinner the real party began. The dance floor was instantly packed and wild! Guests were running between the bar, dance floor, and our brand new, super fun photo booth! It was truly our pleasure to be a part of this wedding journey. Our hearts were warmed at the end of the night when Kathleen and Liam told us that we are thier photographers for life. What a treat it will be to see and capture all of the goodness that is sure to come to these beautiful people.
