Everyone loves a beautiful bride but how about two beautiful brides?! This was the case a couple of weeks ago at the Hill-Stead Museum in Farmington, Connecticut. Alli & Amy’s wedding completely spoiled us. The amount of beauty and love throughout their wedding day choked us up repeatedly. As our brides prepped in the same room divided by a long wooden partition, they spoke to each other and laughed and shared their excitement without ever catching a glimpse of each other. Amy walked down the aisle first accompanied by her parents and waited as Alli came down a minute later with her parents. Tears of joy were shed by nearly every single guest. The day could not have been more beautiful! The grounds at the Hill-Stead Museum were incredibly picturesque and quite simply a photographer’s dream come true. Our brides were more than happy to go exploring and oblige us with our crazy requests, such as trekking through 4 foot high bluegrass! Impeccable planning by Sixpence For Your Shoe made everything run smoothly. Catering by Emily’s Catering was outstanding, they had a waffle station people! These two women planned every detail but their focus was always on each other. Watching two best friends become wives was a beautiful experience for us…and the milk and cookies for the ride home was pretty awesome too!

Elopement is often used to refer to a marriage conducted in sudden and secretive fashion, usually involving hurried flight away from one’s place of residence together with one’s beloved with the intention of getting married. Ryan and Janet were not in a hurry by any means but they certainly were secretive! NYC was the setting and The Red Stairs in Times Square was the venue. Ryan got set up on the stairs with the officiant and Janet walked to him with their little girl Maryn from her hotel with all of the eyes in Times Square on her. To say they got married in front of the whole world is not an understatement! We found ourselves competing with more cameras and iPhones than ever before. At first people weren’t sure if this was a real wedding but once the tears started flowing the crowds moved in. Janet and Ryan adore NYC so this moment was a dream come true. Some of the people watching were even crying, that’s how much love these two exude! After the ceremony and some make-up touch ups by Aline Sarkis we wandered around the city for photos. We hit some landmarks such as the LOVE statue and Rockefeller Center. We even had pizza at their favorite pizza joint for the reception! We hit Central Park during the magic hour to find a street performer for the couple’s first dance. Bethesda Fountain seemed like the perfect location considering how gorgeous and iconic it is to the city. Low and behold, below the terrace was a lone cellist. Ryan and Janet asked him to play a song for them to dance to and he obliged. It was the most beautiful end to a perfect day. It was so pretty that it looked like a scene out of a movie! We are so happy to have been asked to be a part of this day and now everybody knows! Janet and Ryan are married!

Two days after Taylor Swift dropped a cool $17 million on her home in Watch Hill, RI we found ourselves at and an even more spectacular dwelling next door, Ocean House. Perched high on the bluffs of Watch Hill, Ocean House is an iconic New England seaside resort and was the most perfect setting for Bridget and Noel’s intimate destination wedding. With guests flying in from as far away as New Zealand and London, Bridget and Noel made the decision to keep their guest list to a minimum and it could not have been more sublime. Bridget was radiant in her Monique Lhullier gown and Jimmy Choo heels (what a dream!). Noel was dashing in his tux and his British accent was the perfect accessory. Given the small guest list we had plenty of time for photos around the grounds and on the beach. Cocktails were served in the members-only club room at Ocean House, followed by a private dinner. The entire day was filled with an air of romance and love, just as it should be.
