Regatta Place was the last stop on our journey with Kathleen and Liam and what a stop it was! We first popped in to see the guys who were looking mighty dapper in their J.Crew suits. Liam’s suit was slightly lighter which made our handsome groom stand out as the man of the hour. Across the street, Kathleen was an absolute beauty in her strapless Allure Bridal gown and her wedding day glow was enhanced by the ever talented Aline Sarkis Beauty. Toni Chandler delivered the most delicious florals that perfectly complimented the stunning grey J.Crew styling of the bridal party. After a touching ceremony at Our Lady of Mercy on the Salve Regina campus we walked over to Ochre Court for some formal portraits. Newport is stunning but this spot really takes the cake. It’s way up there on our list of favorite places. We then followed the trolly over to Liam’s alma mater, St. George’s, where we learned he was quite the hockey star back in high school! After some formals on the stunning grounds we made our way to Regatta Place where the tent was a vision in white and silver. Tables were adorned with breathtaking floral centerpieces, lanterns, and candles in mercury glass vessels which sat atop luxurious linens provided by Rentals Unlimited. A silver and white candy bar had mouths watering along with a scrumptious looking dessert table on which the highlight was an elegant cake by Sin Bakery.  Heartfelt speeches from family and friends began the night and after a delicious sit down dinner the real party began. The dance floor was instantly packed and wild! Guests were running between the bar, dance floor, and our brand new, super fun photo booth! It was truly our pleasure to be a part of this wedding journey. Our hearts were warmed at the end of the night when Kathleen and Liam told us that we are thier photographers for life. What a treat it will be to see and capture all of the goodness that is sure to come to these beautiful people.

Our little state of Rhode Island has some stunningly gorgeous places to get married, Whispering Pines is one such place. Maryanne and Dave chose this wooded wonderland to celebrate their marriage surrounded by family and friends. You can’t help but feel happy when you’re at a grown-up campground! The sun was shining as a warm breeze gently kissed the faces of people who just survived one of the worst winters in New England history. As Maryanne was getting ready her ladies were singing and bustling about in their coordinating robes. Maryanne was stunning, having had her make up and hair was done by the lovely Kristen (our former bride!) from Luniac Glamour. The bridesmaids’ tears started flowing as soon as Maryanne stepped into her dress. The love in the room was palpable. Walking down the isle, flanked on either side by her father and step father, her eyes were only on Dave. After a short but sweet ceremony we took some portraits with family and the wedding party before driving into the pines. And let us assure you, they do whisper, we heard them! When the wind blows through the pine trees it almost sounds as if a car is driving down the road but it’s the trees whispering, and on this day they were congratulating Maryanne and Dave. A first dance outside on the deck was followed by a nice sit down meal inside. Succulents and candles adorned the tables adding to the rustic ambience of the space. The night concluded with dancing out on the deck under the full moon. It was an absolutely perfect day for a perfect couple.

A Belle Mer wedding is always a beautiful wedding and Lisa and Jim’s was no exception. The day started on lower Thames Street in a gorgeous condo where all of the ladies were getting ready. This was a real girls party! The M’s were there with Lucia assisting, Michelle from Fresh Focus was capturing everything on video, Kim from Greenlion Design brought in the most breathtaking florals all while Lynda from Formal Hair and Makeup Design was beautifying everyone. Champagne was flowing, music was playing and buntings were hung. We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful & inviting space to capture the details. The luxurious letterpress invitations by Drolet Paperie set the glamorous tone for the day. Lisa truly wowed everyone in the room when she presented herself in her strapless, lace overlay gown. From her dangly diamond earrings, to the David Yurman pearl bracelet (something borrowed from her lovely sister Diana) down to her Jimmy Choo silver sandals, Lisa was a perfect bride. Her sleek up-do showcased her pretty smile and was the ideal style for her cathedral length veil. As Lisa’s father walked her down the Isle of St. Lucy’s Church it was clear on Jim’s face that he knew he was the luckiest man in the world. Post ceremony we headed over to the Island House at Belle Mer. While the rain made it difficult for portraits outside we had simply the best indoor space for formulas. A huge white space with giant windows overlooking the sea gave us beautiful natural light. As usual, the M’s moved furniture all around to design the space perfectly. The mood was light and fun and just a sampling of what the night was yet to bring. Downstairs, beautifully dressed guests filled the impeccably styled Island House. Rentals Unlimited outdid themselves while Greenlion blossoms in shades of ivory and blush were everywhere to be seen. The attentive staff at Belle Mer served the guests passed hors d’oeuvres including some Colombian favorites. When Lisa and Jim entered for their first dance the room erupted in applause! They shared one of the most fun first dances ever which was followed by Lisa and her loving father. They danced to an upbeat song which caused Melissa to declare that she now wishes she were Colombian! Among many of our #jobperks is getting to know people from varied places and cultures. The joining of Jim’s American family with Lisa’s was a highlight of our year. There was palpable love in the air. The kind of love that brings tears to they eyes. Laughter abounded, especially in the Photo Booth. Things got a little (WAY) crazy in there. Everything that people could get their hands on became a prop. Even the suitcase holding the props became a prop! This was a wedding that will be spoken about for a long time to come and one we will never forget.
