Combine a beautiful, RISD grad bride with a ruggedly handsome, football player groom and you have wedding day magic. We cannot say enough great things about Kate and Tyler. We had a sneak peek of the wedding day awesomeness during their styled engagement session at Blithewold Mansion and Gardens. Kate created and painted a monogram of their first initials, made buntings, brought a quilt and pillows and even a vintage bicycle-for the engagement session! Fast forward to a stunningly gorgeous day at Linden Place in Bristol, RI. It was as if this venue was made for Kate’s wedding. The room in which she got ready is decorated in the colors of her wedding; whites, creams, ivory and shades of green. Special ladies were gifted handmade, monogrammed hankies as Kate got into her beautiful gown, complete with pockets! Meanwhile, downstairs Tyler was shuffling curious family members out of the main house so he could get into place for the first look. Tucked away in the atrium the bride and groom saw each other for the first time on their wedding day. It was a beautiful private moment. But the peacefulness wouldn’t last for long because in came the family! Grandparents, children, siblings, and friends. This couple is beloved! Photo opportunities were everywhere. Who can resist the spinning flower girl?! A perfectly sunny ceremony produced tears and smiles alike. Cocktail hour on the lawn was a feast for the senses. Vintage vessels for flower arrangements, cool little jars for drinks, passed hors d’euvres and music cued everyone in that the party was starting.  Inside the carriage house were Kate’s handmade buntings screen printed with the couple’s monogram. Animal themed vases from Anthropologie showcased the breathtaking florals by Weedweavers of Wakefield. Vintage teacups became scented candle holders (made by Kate) and adorned all of the tables along with favors in muslin pouches also with the couple’s monogram (yup, Kate again). Suzanne from Moondance Productions had everyone up and dancing and celebrating this wonderful couple well into the night. We adored every bit of this wedding and we especially love Kate and Tyler! We first experienced the sweet love between Jenica and Angus during their engagement session on a warm spring morning on the east side of Providence. When we met them again on their wedding day it was a snowy winter wonderland at Bittersweet Farm in Westport. Jenica was a vision in her embellished sheath gown, vintage stole, fascinator & blue shoes. Angus was extremely dapper in his sharp suit and newly grown beard. The entire focus of the day was on this lovely couple. They even walked each other down the isle to “their song”, Swept Away by the Avett Brothers. From start to finish this day embodied the words of this song so we will leave you with these lyrics from the heart…
“Well life is ever changing
But I will always find a constant
And comfort in your love
With your heart my soul is bound
And as we dance I know
That heaven will be found”.

There are certain details you hope that will go your way the week before your wedding. Sarah had a sizable wish list that she hoped would happen.  Most of them had to do with baseball.  Sarah works for Major League Baseball so the wedding was planned to happen the weekend after the World Series if it went a full seven games.  Sarah wished for the Red Sox to be in the world series AND for them to win it in Boston (so she didn’t have to fly back to RI a day or two before the wedding).  And that is exactly how it went down!  She also wanted a nice, warm autumn day for the wedding.  That’s a tall order for early November in New England.  Fortunately that’s exactly what happened!  The weather was gorgeous, they were there to see the Sox win it at home, Jim did shots with the Dropkick Murphy’s. All of this was followed by an amazing two week honeymoon in Hawaii.  People joke that once you get married “it’s all down hill from here”.  Sarah and Jim told us that for them this really is true because how could they top the weeks leading up to the wedding or the honeymoon?  We had the pleasure of doing an epic engagement session with these guys in Newport.  This is when the M’s developed our huge crush on Sarah and Jim.  On the wedding day we fell in love.  Not only are they amazing, but their family and friends were just as friendly and fun.  Have you met Jim’s cousin, Bobby?!  (haha!!!)  Studio 539 created gorgeous tablescapes with succulents in birch pots that matched the rustic feel of Squantum Association.  Sarah looked stunning in her Dennis Basso dress from Kleinfeld’s and a beautiful handmade birdcage veil by Satya Twena.  We can’t forget the shoes…  Killer wedges by none other than Jimmy Choo.  We wanted to steal them but we controlled ourselves.  The M’s had the photo booth up and it was rockin’ all night!!  One of the reason we love our jobs is that we get to do events like this and meet people like Sarah and Jim.  We will see you next month when we are in Brooklyn!
