Ampersand!  There I said it.  Ampersand, ampersand.  I feel like we’ve been saying that a lot for the past couple of weeks.  Things like “Holly and Jon are bringing an ampersand to the engagement shoot” or “That ampersand is going to be so cute in the pictures!”.  For those of you who haven’t googled it yet an ampersand is this – &.  Holly used two of my favorite web sites to make the ampersand happen – Inspired by Pinterest and ordered it on Etsy (or maybe her sister did.  Hi, Kelly!).  Since Holly and Jon met at University of Rhode Island we decided it would be the perfect spot for the engagement session. After doing lots of pictures on the quad we went to Narragansett for some beachy photos. We had such a great time taking photos of Holly and Jon with and without the ampersand.  Can not wait for their wintery wedding next January at the Atlantic Beach Club in Newport…  Ampersand!

One thing about living in New England as a wedding photographer you don’t shoot all that much in the winter.  Thankfully spring is in the air and it’s time to get back to doing what we love!  Our first engagement shoot of the year was with Nimota and Jose.  They started dating about 8 years ago.  It’s safe to say that people have been anxiously awaiting this wedding!  Nimota is no exception.  Being an event planner she is one of the most organized brides we have ever seen!  Her planning bridal binder is pretty impressive.  They are such a great couple and so much fun to be around.  We had a great time with them on this engagement shoot.  If this gorgeous day and beautiful setting are a precursor to the wedding it’s going to be a good one!  Can’t wait!

What better to do on the day before a snow storm than to post a super summery engagement shoot?  It is fitting to post this on the eve of some inclement weather since we had to reschedule this shoot SO many times because of… you guessed it – the weather.  It wasn’t just the rain that stopped us.  The heat put a damper on our shoot as well.  No one looks good when it’s 90 degrees out.  Well, Emily and Peter would probably still look great.  It must be nice to be so good looking.  It all turned out for the best because we had an amazing night with a beautiful sunset for their engagement shoot in Narragansett.  Marisa and I had a blast.  I think we’d still be shooting if the sun didn’t go on us.  There were so many beautiful spots!  Before you continue I will issue a warning.  You may be inspired to run off to the beach after looking at these photos.  Don’t do it!  It’s cold out there.
