Abby and Andy have a special place in their hearts for the Boston Public Library. We were beyond thrilled when they suggested we take their engagement photos there. It is such a gorgeous building and there are so many great spots for photos. This was the quietest engagement session we’ve ever done!  Since the library was open for business we had to keep our big mouths shut.  Not an easy task, but we were successful.  We communicated with Abby and Andy through lots of whispers and crazy hand gestures.  When were done at the library we walked over to the Commons.  The sun was about to disappear behind the buildings.  We literally chased that gorgeous light around the park.  The result was well worth it!

When we talked to Ashlyn before the engagement session she warned us about Lane. That could mean one of two things – #1 Lane really is a pain or #2 Lane has quite a sense of humor and we are going to love him. Thankfully we were working with #2. The best grooms usually come with a warning from the bride. We met Ashlyn and Lane at Ochre Court on the Salve Regina campus in Newport. Since they are getting married at the Chandler in Newport this April this location went with the overall feel of the wedding. Ashlyn wore items from Anthropologie and Etsy – Two of our most favorite places to shop! With an amazing venue like the Chandler and Ashlyn’s good taste this wedding is going to be a good one! We also have to mention the ring! Lane did a fabulous job picking it out! Melissa even exclaimed a rather colorful word upon seeing it. She has deemed it one of her favorite engagement rings ever. Don’t look at it while you are at work! You might find yourself yelling out a four letter word!

After countless reschedules due to rain and at least one hurricane we were finally able to meet Halle and Ed for their engagement session!  Our original plan was to take the photos in Bristol, RI.  Halle and Ed are getting married at Linden Place next September.  As time went by and weather thwarted our plans we decided instead travel north to Halle and Ed.  They picked out a spot called World’s End, a beautiful nature reserve right outside of Boston.  We couldn’t have been happier with the locale or the subjects.  Halle and Ed warned us that they weren’t very good at having their photo taken.  As a matter of fact when Ed proposed he told Halle they would have to get better at being in photos before he got down on one knee.  That’s where we come in!  Honestly I think they are doing pretty good.  The proof is in the pudding.  See for yourself..
