We’re pretty sure that when JT sang about bringing sexy back he was talking about Allie and Mike! These two are all about romance. Our time together started out casually by the Old North Church. It was here that on the eve of the American Revolution Paul Revere took his famous Midnight Ride. He warned the Patriot cause that the British were coming across the Charles River by having two lanterns lit in the steeple; one if by land, two if by sea.

And so we found ourselves in the midst of so much history with city noises and some sightseers around but really there was only Allie and Mike. Eyes only for each other, private words and kisses only for each other. As we walked to different locations we were able to chat about how they met, what they did for work, and how Mike proposed. At one point Mike quietly said to Marisa “See how Allie is treating you? That’s how she is to everyone. To me, to her friends and family. She is honestly that nice”. They have such a sweetness about them that it was a pleasure to spend this gorgeous evening together.  After a quick change into formalwear we took a cab ride over to Rowes Wharf for magic hour. We planned it just right so we could do a little dancing on the docks and make it to the Boston Harbor Hotel’s multi-story arch for the most incredible blue light ever (#nofilter).

After we said our goodbyes the M’s headed over to Mike’s Pastry for some cannoli and conversation. We talked about what a perfect mix of sweet and sexy Allie and Mike are and we have a feeling we aren’t the only ones sharing this sentiment!

We knew going into this engagement session that it was going to be a good one. You see, Chelsea is a lover of shabby chic, seaside, DIY decor.  She is also the owner and lead artisan of Style By The Sea where she makes beautiful, rustic, reclaimed wood signs which she ships all over the country. She actually made her own “Will you marry me?” sign without knowing it! Zach put in a fake order and then totally surprised her with it when he proposed. Chelsea incorporated a few of her lovely signs into the session and then blew us away with the lakeside portion of our evening. There were lots of vintage details, some peonies, and handmade candles (by Chelsea of course) that will be incorporated into their January wedding. We are really in love with this beautiful session and this awesome couple, just imagine what the wedding will look like!

We met Laura and Ryan in downtown Newport on a beautiful spring evening. The sky was a little bit hazy so we didn’t have to fight with the glaring sun. Everything in sight was blooming: magnolia trees, forsythia bushes, daffodils, tulips, and dogwood trees. Our locations were both overlooking and right next to the ocean so we really couldn’t go wrong.  As we began our session it was very clear how much Laura and Ryan adore each other. Laura said she first fell in love with Ryan’s blue eyes and the rest just fell into place. Laura had us in stitches the entire time with her silly outbursts and comical expressions.  There was also lots of time for quiet cuddles and stolen kisses. Enjoy this lovely evening with a lovely couple!
