Before every wedding we send out a questionnaire so we know all the key information going into the big day.  It is the first step in our wedding prep.  We ask the important questions like where is everything happening?  Who is important to you? And our favorite – Who designed your dress?  When we ever saw Jenny Packham on Eliza’s sheet…  Dead.  After our final wedding planning chat on the phone with Eliza I knew she felt the same way.  This dress is one of a kind, amazing, unique, beautiful…  Just everything!  The styling of the entire wedding seemed compliment Miss Packham’s design.  It was as if Eliza found the dress and went from there.  Maybe she did!  Not only was the dress lovely but so were our clients!  Eliza and Jay had us shoot their engagement session as well as the rehearsal dinner.  It is so nice to have that time with our couples and really get to know them.  Fun fact…  We stole a row boat when we were shooting their engagement session.  Well borrowed is a better word.  My point is committing a petty crime with someone creates a bond for life.  You should all try it!  Just don’t blame us if you get caught.

When I started to write this blog I texted Marisa and asked “How exactly do I write about Anne and Will without sounding like an adoring creepy person?”  She immediately understood my pain.  How do you write about two incredibly wonderful people who happen to have had the perfect wedding without overdoing it?  Marisa suggested keeping it simple with something like “Here are Anne and Will.  They are perfect and so was their wedding.  Take a look!”  I know Anne is probably blushing reading this (Hi, Anne) but it’s the truth.  We fell in love with these guys when we met them in NYC for their engagement session.  After hearing all the heartfelt speeches at the wedding we know that we aren’t the only ones who adore them.  This couple has such a sweetness about them that is undeniable.  It was no surprise that their wedding matched all the the goodness that they embody as a duo.  Weekapaug Inn was the perfect setting for their destination wedding.  They treated the guests to the entire weekend on the property.  True Event was there to make sure everything went smoothly.  We love to work with professional planners like them.  It really takes the stress out of the day for everyone when someone is there to oversee that things go off without a hitch.  Now can we talk about Hana Floral?  I’m still in awe of the floral design at this wedding.  What an amazing job!  So how did I do?  Did I sound like an adoring creep?  Maybe but they deserve all the adoration.  I will wrap this up by saying once again…  Here is Anne and Will.  They are perfect and so was their wedding.  Take a look! 😉 …

This winter has been rough for engagement sessions.  First we have to find a day that works for four different busy schedules.  Once it goes on the calendar we then cross our fingers and hope the weather is mild enough for us to actually be outside.  If rain and snow didn’t thwart our plans this year the wind and cold temps sure did.  Lots of our couples are emailing us “Let’s just wait until spring”.  It’s not all bad news for the winter engagement sessions though.  Every once and a while the stars align and give us a great day.  Nina and Reid had their engagement session on the most perfect one possible.  Not only was it nice out but the light was out of this world!  We couldn’t have asked for anything better…  Wonderful clients, ocean views and that sun!  Photography dreams do come true!
