Marisa and I have been so looking forward to this engagement shoot.  When Meagan contacted us about doing her wedding we were happy enough.  Then she throws in that we have the chance to do the engagement shoot at Fenway Park!  We had the park all to ourselves for an hour and half.  Kind of a photographer’s dream!  We found so many cools spots that we used pretty much every minute of our time.  Just want to say thank you to our guide, Emma!  There were many times when I was approached by security to check that we were on the up and up.  Actually they were only checking with me.  No one else got questioned.  Do I look that shady?  Anyway, I just told them “It’s OK.  I’m with Emma.” and they left me alone.  Lucas and Meagan are getting married on March 17, 2013 (Notice our clever number pics in the post).  We had a great time hanging out with them in Fenway.  It was a little rainy and everything was wet, but they were good sports.  Hopefully we paid our dues to the weather gods up above on this shoot guaranteeing us sunny, warm weather for the wedding!

Back when M.Studios didn’t even have a name Marisa’s husband, David Bettencourt, met with Kim and Justin about doing their wedding video.  See Dave makes beautiful wedding films that will blow you away (shameless plug).  Of course Kim and Justin hired him to shoot their wedding.  When he found out they didn’t have a photographer he told them about his talented wife, Marisa, and her friend, Melissa, who take really nice pictures.  The rest is history!  We are so happy that Kim and Justin decided to go with us for their wedding photographers.  It means so much that they hired us.  Kim and Justin, we promise to make you guys proud!  These guys are one of the sweetest couples ever.  We had a blast hanging out with them on a Sunday morning taking pictures in some pretty fun spots in Providence.

Ampersand!  There I said it.  Ampersand, ampersand.  I feel like we’ve been saying that a lot for the past couple of weeks.  Things like “Holly and Jon are bringing an ampersand to the engagement shoot” or “That ampersand is going to be so cute in the pictures!”.  For those of you who haven’t googled it yet an ampersand is this – &.  Holly used two of my favorite web sites to make the ampersand happen – Inspired by Pinterest and ordered it on Etsy (or maybe her sister did.  Hi, Kelly!).  Since Holly and Jon met at University of Rhode Island we decided it would be the perfect spot for the engagement session. After doing lots of pictures on the quad we went to Narragansett for some beachy photos. We had such a great time taking photos of Holly and Jon with and without the ampersand.  Can not wait for their wintery wedding next January at the Atlantic Beach Club in Newport…  Ampersand!
