Whenever we have a wedding in Newport we wish for beautiful weather so we can take advantage of the many gorgeous sites that are Newport. However, when we have a wedding at The Chanler, we downright demand a gorgeous day! Thankfully this was the case for Ashlyn and Lane’s wedding day. Cloudy skies cleared in time for a beautiful first look followed by an emotional ceremony officiated by one of Lane’s brothers. Lane’s beautiful daughter was the prettiest little flower girl. So pretty, in fact, that there may be as many photos of her as there are of the lovely Ashlyn! After burning her hand with a curling iron while getting ready, Ashlyn still managed to carry her amazing bouquet from the talented Toni Chandler. Guests mingled in the tent decorated by Exquisite Events of Newport and enjoyed divine cupcakes by Sweet Indulgence after dinner. Lane kept all the guests (and us) laughing the entire night with his crazy antics that will not soon be forgotten. Did you know its possible to eat a cupcake in one bite?! The couple capped off the night with extra long sparklers along the lawn over looking the ocean.

Mix one part wind with a cute little dog named Oscar, throw in a couple in love and a blue sky and you have yourself a lovely engagement session. Margeaux and Kevin are having their wedding at the Providence Public Library this winter and we couldn’t be more excited! The India Point Park footbridge was the sight of their first date so naturally we took lots of photos there. We were all cracking up the entire time, it’s so nice to have the chance to get to know our couples on a more personal note during these engagement sessions. They brought along their dog, Oscar, who was happy to oblige in having his picture taken. We ended in a somewhat different spot to capture the sunset and create the ever important “alleyway chic” engagement portrait. This isn’t your parents engagement shoot (but they’ll still like it).

Our favorite overachieving, power doctor couple, Tori and Wei, sent us not one, but TWO thank you cards!  (told you they were over achievers!)  We LOVE these guys!…

Card #1…  “To the fabulous M’s – Seriously??  How can we thank you for everything you did for us during the wedding?  You were amazing!  We loved having you at the rehearsal dinner too – felt like you were a part of the crazy family!  We LOVED the sneak peak and can’t wait to see the final results! Love Tori and Wei”

Card #2 came after the photos were delivered… “To the beautiful and talented M’s – We wanted to send you a proper thank you card featuring your beautiful work and of course express again how immensely grateful we are for all of your incredible work.  Staring at the beautiful pictures you both took has become my #1 hobby.  We feel so lucky to have worked with you – THANK YOU for everything!!  xoxo T&W”
