One of the most rewarding parts of our job is capturing moments.  I know what you are thinking – Isn’t that what photography is?  Capturing moments?  Obvs.  We are discussing something a little deeper.  What we are talking about is the moment a bride puts on her veil, the moment a couple is announced into their reception as husband and wife, the moment before a father walks his little girl down the aisle.  These are the biggest moments of our clients lives up to this point and it is truly an honor when someone picks us to capture them.  It’s no wonder that we have been known to tear up at weddings.  You might see one of us doing a quick eye wipe during the vows or a moving toast.  It’s also the same reason we have to force ourselves to take pictures and not to dance at the reception.  The importance and emotion of a wedding is not lost on us.  We are there to document your day but we are also along for the ride, feeling all that happiness and love for our amazing clients.

We had an amazing opportunity to finally go to Las Vegas for WPPI 2013, one of the biggest photography conferences there is!  We were able to take classes with the industries best and brightest from Jasmine Star to Susan Stripling, Lawrence Chan, and Zach and Jody.  To say we came back inspired is sort of an understatement.  Not only did we learn from the best photogs we also saw the newest and coolest products out there.  Canvas, albums, wall decals, photo booths, you name it we saw it!  Our heads are still spinning!  We also had a little time to unwind.  Wedding photographers are a group of people that go to a party every weekend, but never get to party.  Thankfully there are some very cool people out there in the industry that recognize that and put on the coolest event for us deprived photogs called Lazers and Blazers.  We donned designer dresses from Forever 21 and H&M (Ladies, you know those stores rule!) and had the best night ever!  What a trip…

Shout out to Instagram for making cell phone pics actually look fun!

Maty is a history buff so what better location for his and Lauren’s engagement session than the east side of Providence.  Because you know it’s all historic and stuff.  We really had a blast with these guys!  They are just the nicest couple ever.  When we had our initial meeting it was probably the longest one to date.  We did not stop chatting!   Lauren and Maty brought their beautiful dog, SoCo.  He is an Australian Shepard.  Such a cutie pie!  Poor Soco couldn’t be in all of the photos so we were not just photographers on this shoot.  We were also dog walkers (photos will be on facebook soon enough).  Lauren’s outfit really made for a great pop of color in these photos.  Good job with that Lauren!  Can’t wait to see you guys again in September!
