We can’t think of a better wedding venue for two people who love the ocean than Theater By the Sea in Wakefield, RI. Lisa and Steve are a surfing couple who clean up real nice! Lisa was absolutely stunning in her Maggie Sottero gown and Steve was handsome and polished with a laid back vibe. In fact, the entire day had a laid back vibe. We started at the couple’s seaside home and moved on to a quaint chapel for the ceremony. Formal portraits were done a minute’s walk from Lisa’s family estate in Matunuk which also happened to be a minute’s walk in the other direction to Theater By the Sea. The bridal party dresses were some of the prettiest we’ve seen made even more gorgeous by the amazing bouquets from Weedweavers held in front of them. The weather was exceptionally warm for late spring at the seaside which allowed the sides of the tent to be open. Warm ocean breezes floated in as pretty light from the sunset highlighted the styling inside. Everything about this day was beachy and natural, just like Lisa and Steve.

We’re pretty sure that when JT sang about bringing sexy back he was talking about Allie and Mike! These two are all about romance. Our time together started out casually by the Old North Church. It was here that on the eve of the American Revolution Paul Revere took his famous Midnight Ride. He warned the Patriot cause that the British were coming across the Charles River by having two lanterns lit in the steeple; one if by land, two if by sea.

And so we found ourselves in the midst of so much history with city noises and some sightseers around but really there was only Allie and Mike. Eyes only for each other, private words and kisses only for each other. As we walked to different locations we were able to chat about how they met, what they did for work, and how Mike proposed. At one point Mike quietly said to Marisa “See how Allie is treating you? That’s how she is to everyone. To me, to her friends and family. She is honestly that nice”. They have such a sweetness about them that it was a pleasure to spend this gorgeous evening together.  After a quick change into formalwear we took a cab ride over to Rowes Wharf for magic hour. We planned it just right so we could do a little dancing on the docks and make it to the Boston Harbor Hotel’s multi-story arch for the most incredible blue light ever (#nofilter).

After we said our goodbyes the M’s headed over to Mike’s Pastry for some cannoli and conversation. We talked about what a perfect mix of sweet and sexy Allie and Mike are and we have a feeling we aren’t the only ones sharing this sentiment!

Shelby and Tim are gorgeous, let’s get that out there right now. They compliment each other so well in looks, esthetic, personality, and sense of humor. The setting for their wedding day was absolutely magical. Glen Magna Farms gives the feel of a lovely garden party in the backyard of your very own private estate.  The wedding party had the run of the main house to finish getting ready which gave way for some beautiful photography. After a private first look Shelby and Tim read each other heartfelt vows that were for their ears only (we promise we didn’t listen). The ceremony took place under a pergola dripping with mature wisteria that was simply breathtaking. After the vows Tim was expecting to hear Happy by Pharrel as the recessional song but Shelby surprised him with Psychoticbumpschool by Bootsy Collins! He loved it! We then had some time to explore the expansive grounds with the entire wedding party for portraits and some newlywed photos. The tented reception was very intimate. The couple picked random small plates that represented some of their favorite foods including sliders with fries, Chinese take-out, a macaroni and cheese bar, and of course a French cheese station! Shelby loves any and all things French and there was a definite Parisian feel to the day. Shelby chose a gown that looked as if it was custom made for her and get this, it was the first one she tried on!  Oh and the shoes, not one, but two pair. Pink and blue respectively, Swoon! Her hair and makeup were flawless, perfectly highlighting her big baby blues and Tim looked like he stepped out of the pages of a magazine. This pretty day was a photographers dream come true and we couldn’t be happier to have been a part of it all. When planning the wedding Shelby and Tim already knew that they wouldn’t want the night to end. Some time after the M’s had left, the new Mr. and Mrs. Dwyer and a group of close friends went to Downtown Crossing in Boston where they had rented out part of jmCurley.  We hear Shelby devoured a burger but since there is no photographic evidence we’ll just have to call it wedding day gossip.

And so, to the newlyweds we say…

Félicitations. Nous vous souhaitons à tous les deux tout le bonheur du monde!
