Nothing gets us more excited for an engagement session than an inspiring location. Blithewold Mansion and Gardens is one of those places. With magical gardens worthy of a fairy tail, we find ourselves overwhelmed by the beauty surrounding us. Jacquee and Matt met us on a beautiful summer evening shortly before sunset. To enhance the fora and fauna, Jacquee wore what we like to call and “engagement shoot blue dress”.  This color will never fail a bride and stands out exceptionally well against the greens of the forest. Matt brought his tall, dark, and handsome self as well as some white lanterns and a very special lock. On a rainy day in November Jacquee and Matt made their way to the Pont des Arts bridge in Paris to secure a lock symbolizing five years together. It was here, in the rain on this bridge in Paris, that Matt dropped to one knee and asked Jacquee to spend the rest of her life with him! Romance abounds with these two, from Paris to Blithewold to their wedding at Linden Place next spring, Jacquee and Matt are bound for endless happiness. XO

Combine a beautiful, RISD grad bride with a ruggedly handsome, football player groom and you have wedding day magic. We cannot say enough great things about Kate and Tyler. We had a sneak peek of the wedding day awesomeness during their styled engagement session at Blithewold Mansion and Gardens. Kate created and painted a monogram of their first initials, made buntings, brought a quilt and pillows and even a vintage bicycle-for the engagement session! Fast forward to a stunningly gorgeous day at Linden Place in Bristol, RI. It was as if this venue was made for Kate’s wedding. The room in which she got ready is decorated in the colors of her wedding; whites, creams, ivory and shades of green. Special ladies were gifted handmade, monogrammed hankies as Kate got into her beautiful gown, complete with pockets! Meanwhile, downstairs Tyler was shuffling curious family members out of the main house so he could get into place for the first look. Tucked away in the atrium the bride and groom saw each other for the first time on their wedding day. It was a beautiful private moment. But the peacefulness wouldn’t last for long because in came the family! Grandparents, children, siblings, and friends. This couple is beloved! Photo opportunities were everywhere. Who can resist the spinning flower girl?! A perfectly sunny ceremony produced tears and smiles alike. Cocktail hour on the lawn was a feast for the senses. Vintage vessels for flower arrangements, cool little jars for drinks, passed hors d’euvres and music cued everyone in that the party was starting.  Inside the carriage house were Kate’s handmade buntings screen printed with the couple’s monogram. Animal themed vases from Anthropologie showcased the breathtaking florals by Weedweavers of Wakefield. Vintage teacups became scented candle holders (made by Kate) and adorned all of the tables along with favors in muslin pouches also with the couple’s monogram (yup, Kate again). Suzanne from Moondance Productions had everyone up and dancing and celebrating this wonderful couple well into the night. We adored every bit of this wedding and we especially love Kate and Tyler! It’s always really sweet when we get to have children join in on an engagement session.  We loved seeing the interaction between Rachel and Joe and the girls. They really made our time at Roger Williams Park in Providence that much more fun. We met on a perfect evening and walked and talked and took lots of pictures. The girls even did an impromptu playground-hand-slapping-singing-dancing routine (pretty sure that’s what you call it) which made for some super fun images. We had such a nice evening with a very nice, new family!
