Bittersweet Farm is always a delight, and with a couple as sweet as Rachel and Joe we knew we couldn’t go wrong. We had the pleasure of meeting Rachel and Joe along with his girls for their family engagement session last year. We had a wonderful time getting to know everyone so when the big day rolled around we felt like part of the family! Although it was quite chilly (like really, really cold) Joe waited out on the lawn to see Rachel for their first look. Once he saw his stunning bride in her strapless, lace overlay gown with a vintage fur stole smiles, kisses, and a few tears followed. Soon after, the girls joined in for some quick portraits on the always stunning grounds. A beautiful, intimate ceremony in the chapel which included heartfelt readings from each of the girls was followed by cocktail hour and the reception downstairs. Tables were styled with baby’s breath in found vessels wrapped in lace on top of burlap runners which perfectly enhanced the rustic charm of Bittersweet. DJ Corey Young had everyone moving after dinner which was great considering all of the decadent cakes from Gregg’s everyone was eating for dessert! The overall feel of the day was one of love and family, two families blended seamlessly under the twinkle lights in Westport and we were so happy to be a part of it.

Another wonderful thank you card! This one is from Jeniimarie and Peter. This is why we love checking the mail…

“Dear Marisa, Melissa and Lucia,

Thank you so much for helping us make and capture incredible memories on our wedding day.  The care and attention to detail you showed throughout the day left us excited to “see” the day through your photos.  We are both looking forward to seeing what we missed and reliving a day that went way too fast!  Please take this as a token of our thanks for your patience as we planned the event long distance, your enthusiasm, and your dedication.  We can’t believe we are finally married and feel so fortunate to have worked closely with you.  Sincerely Peter and Jeniimarie”

We recently had the pleasure of teaming up with some truly talented ladies for a styled session in our studio. Greenlion designed the florals, Erica LaSorsa styled the hair and Aline Sarkis Beatuy did the makeup and slyling. As a lover of all things vintage, Aline wanted to showcase modern makeup with a vintage twist. She searched and found all of the dresses at estate sales and then planned the makeup accordingly.

Lyndsey: Soft. 50’s style bride. The edgy cat eye liner and pink lip are a nod to the 50’s without being to overstated.

Arianna: Subtle 60’s bride. The look was her take on the classic smokey eye, with a bold lip. Of course the two can work together when done in the right shades. Paired with the bun and floral embellishment in the hair makes for a flirty look.

Fallon: Boho 70’s type bride. Soft and romantic lace and flowers are a pretty combination. Subtle smokey eye with nude lip make the floral crown stand out without taking attention away from the look.

It was such a pleasure to work with a group of such talented women!
