When Lindsay booked us for her wedding at the Colony Hotel in Kennebunkport, Maine we were so excited!  We love to travel to new places!  We did not get the chance to meet Lindsay and Adam before the wedding.  I made some assumptions about them based solely on the location of the wedding.  When I think of Kennebunkport I think of George W Bush.  So obviously our clients must be conservative, preppy republicans.  Obviously, right!?  Wrong!  This was the funnest group ever!  The jokes kept coming and 90% of them were inappropriate (just how we like them).   Adam and Lindsay know how to have fun and so do their friends.  We loved every minute of this wedding!  This event also gave us the opportunity to meet Kristina from The Purple Orchid Event Planning!  We really hit it off and can’t wait to work with her again!  To all you RI people, she travels!  And to the people of Maine, we travel as well so do yourself a favor and hire this dream team for your wedding!

Spring time in NYC!  It sounds like the beginning of a movie.  For us it is the beginning of our friendship with Heather and Matt!  Manhattan holds a special place in the hearts of M.Studios.  Marisa lived there in the 90’s working as a nanny for a famous screenwriting couple.  Melissa also lived there when she attended NYU as a Freshman.  Ever since we have been looking for any reason to visit.  Lucky for us we do frequent the city for work!  Heather and Matt have a true New York love story.  They randomly met on the street in SoHo!  SoRo-mantic if you ask me!  How could they have done their engagement session anywhere but Manhattan!?

Before every wedding we send out a questionnaire so we know all the key information going into the big day.  It is the first step in our wedding prep.  We ask the important questions like where is everything happening?  Who is important to you? And our favorite – Who designed your dress?  When we ever saw Jenny Packham on Eliza’s sheet…  Dead.  After our final wedding planning chat on the phone with Eliza I knew she felt the same way.  This dress is one of a kind, amazing, unique, beautiful…  Just everything!  The styling of the entire wedding seemed compliment Miss Packham’s design.  It was as if Eliza found the dress and went from there.  Maybe she did!  Not only was the dress lovely but so were our clients!  Eliza and Jay had us shoot their engagement session as well as the rehearsal dinner.  It is so nice to have that time with our couples and really get to know them.  Fun fact…  We stole a row boat when we were shooting their engagement session.  Well borrowed is a better word.  My point is committing a petty crime with someone creates a bond for life.  You should all try it!  Just don’t blame us if you get caught.
