There is nothing in the world like a Newport wedding at OceanCliff, and Christina and Joe’s spectacular and luxurious fall wedding was no exception. But the gorgeous mansion with its rambling and colorful gardens faded into the background when compared to the look on Joe’s face when he saw Christina in her gown. And the backdrop of the Narragansett Bay with the sun slowly sinking into it made for the most romantic ceremony.

At every wedding, something stands out. And at this wedding, it was the flowers! Joe’s mother helped with a lot of the wedding planning, and during our meetings she told us there would be flowers everywhere. She definitely delivered on that promise!

Orchids and roses in shades of purple cascaded from above, twined through the tresses of redheaded flower girls and elevated nearly every surface into something more. Can you believe that ombre petal design on the aisle? We’ve never seen anything like it.

Joe and Christina, thanks for making us part of your special day. As you go through life together, remember to stop and smell the roses. We hope you find them everywhere, just like you did on the day you wed.

We’re celebrating Pride by featuring on the blog the very first wedding we photographed with two grooms. We met Trey when we photographed his cousin Colleen’s wedding, which he officiated. During the reception, we found out he was engaged to Ian, and in between snaps, we kept talking about how much we wanted to photograph their wedding because their chemistry was so sweet and their energy was something we hoped to capture. A week later, we got an email from them! Yay!

Trey and Ian’s wedding took place on Brecknock Hall in Greenport, New York, and when we got there, we totally felt like we arrived. Photographing a fabulous couple at a wedding almost in The Hamptons? Come on!

Their wedding was spectacular and was featured on The Knot. Is it any wonder why? Look at those details! They also used some of the same vendors Colleen used for her wedding. Whitney Events in New York was their wedding planner and their flowers were by Diane Gaudett Custom Floral Design in Connecticut. It was so great to see these incredible professionals again and get the band back together!

We still keep in touch with Trey and Ian (Trey’s Real Housewives memes are day-makers) and are holding tight to the promise we made to each other on their wedding day — to go dancing together in New York City! Can’t wait!

Chloe and Jess are world travelers who just don’t stop. They’re so on the move that we didn’t even meet them until their wedding at Cove Cabin at Mount Hope Farm!

The ceremony was beautiful, and the two of them looked stunning in a dress and tuxedo they had tailor made on one of their trips abroad. One of our favorite parts of the ceremony was Chloe’s bouquet by Newport’s Fig & Squill Floral Design. It looked like she gathered it from a field of flowers as she walked to marry her love. It had a romantic, undone look to it that suited her perfectly. And the dancing! There were only about 50 attendees at the wedding, but the way they danced, it felt like 500. The music from Fine Tune Entertainment sure kept the party going!

A lot of their guests were people Chloe and Jess met on their world travels, and a wedding highlight for them was riding a yellow school bus to the wedding venue. It was so fun to see their excited faces as they pulled up to the venue!

Chloe and Jess, we loved spending your wedding day with you and wish we could have spent even more time with you, but you were off on your next grand adventure! May your marriage to each other be the best adventure of your lives.
