A knot soaked in water becomes nearly impossible to unravel, which is why they say a couple who ties the knot in a downpour will be together forever. If that’s the case, nothing will tear Kassie and Terry apart! Just before their ceremony began, the skies opened into a southern-style storm that disappeared nearly as soon as it arrived. It was like Mother Nature approved of their union. And that’s so fitting because Kassie has a long-held belief in being one with the universe.

Despite a last-minute ceremony location change — from outdoors to inside the barn at Blue Ridge Farm — the bride’s and groom’s smiles never faltered. This wedding burst with life and was filled with little nods to nature. Greenery from Southern Blooms cascaded from the ceiling and poured from vases, a custom-made moon arch was the perfect photo backdrop and a huge tree installation illustrated Kassie’s incredible speech that described the people in her life as her roots. But nothing was more vibrant than the bride, radiant in her chartreuse gown.

Kassie and Terry, we know you waited a long time to find each other, and we’re so glad we were witness to your love story!

Virginia is for lovers — Kassie and Terry in particular! The excitement at their rehearsal dinner held at Old Metropolitan Hall in Charlottesville, Virginia, was palpable. Everyone wanted their turn at the mic to share their well-wishes for the happy couple.

The rehearsal dinner venue was a fun one that let guests change it up a little throughout the evening. The Old Metropolitan Hall is located on the Mall, a spot lined with restaurants, many of which had outdoor tables, so Kassie and Terry’s guests had cocktails outside before heading inside for a dinner of short ribs and sea bass.

The flower design by Southern Blooms and the color of the menu cards gave a preview for the big day to come. We just loved all the details!

There is nothing in the world like a Newport wedding at OceanCliff, and Christina and Joe’s spectacular and luxurious fall wedding was no exception. But the gorgeous mansion with its rambling and colorful gardens faded into the background when compared to the look on Joe’s face when he saw Christina in her gown. And the backdrop of the Narragansett Bay with the sun slowly sinking into it made for the most romantic ceremony.

At every wedding, something stands out. And at this wedding, it was the flowers! Joe’s mother helped with a lot of the wedding planning, and during our meetings she told us there would be flowers everywhere. She definitely delivered on that promise!

Orchids and roses in shades of purple cascaded from above, twined through the tresses of redheaded flower girls and elevated nearly every surface into something more. Can you believe that ombre petal design on the aisle? We’ve never seen anything like it.

Joe and Christina, thanks for making us part of your special day. As you go through life together, remember to stop and smell the roses. We hope you find them everywhere, just like you did on the day you wed.
